Well, it always seems like time flies when you don’t need it to. I’ve been sitting in the car more than I’ve been sleeping or playing lately, and I’m ready for a little down time from the old driver’s seat (hear sniff-n-the tears in your head as I say this – some of you may be too young for this reference!). Anyway, we’ve been cranking along and having a blast with all of the gigs and peeps that we’ve seen over the past few weeks. I’m embarrassed to say that I have 2 weeks of rundowns to do, and the weeks before that were pretty slim, so here goes some detail.

2 weeks ago at gusto’s and the Matterhorn were crazy. Great crowds, and tons of energy on the dance floor, and only one person who deserves negative mention (see awards). We cranked it up both nights and had some fantastic friends come out and play with us. We always look forward to the happy faces, and there have been a ton of them lately. Good ski seasons must keep everyone up and positive, so let’s have a few more weeks of great conditions, then we’ll head off into spring with a great winter behind us.

This past weekend was a split. Thurs, off fri, and then on Saturday. The Thursday night at the Red Hook brewery was a blast. Even during UNH break, there were a lot of folks there, and some familiar faces from years gone by. We look forward to seeing ourselves in the Portsmouth area more often in the future, so keep a look out for us! Thanks to Jessica and the crew at Red Hook for making us welcome and having fun with us. A Friday night off? Unacceptable you say! It was a refreshing change, and I think I was in bed by 9. We saved it up for another great night at the Nail, although there were so many underage kids from England on the mountain, I’m surprised that there were people in town old enough to come out and play! We had a blast and had the unbelievable luck of staying at the Stoweflake that night. Wow. that’s all I can say. I didn’t get to use the hot tub, though. Maybe next time.

This weekend puts us back at Electra in west Lebanon, so get yourselves to the upper valley and have some fun! Then we head back to the Matterhorn on Saturday for our next to last time of the season. We hope you can all come out and have some fun with us!

By the way, for those of you on the baby watch, Amanda is due on April 25, and it is officially 100% a girl. I’ll keep everyone posted as we get closer to the due date. Happy and healthy mom, and happy and excited dad are looking forward to the arrival!

This week’s awards go to:

The tom petty award goes to the Richard that kept asking for a TP song, but then sat there with a big frown on his face. No request for you! Be happy or begone!

The best dressed award goes to D at the door at Gusto’s, sporting a new LKP shirt! Check it out on our website – we have lots of new men’s and women’s apparel for your perusal.

The most unusual sighting goes to the world’s tallest snow woman in Bethel, ME. We’ll see about getting a good pic of it.

And the cat nap award goes to the booth closest to the bathrooms at the Nail. Always great to catch a few winks…
