upcoming lkp dates!

Well, July is almost gone, and we’re headed for the lazy hazy days of August!  We’ve had some great gigs over the past few weeks, and we’re getting psyched up for some more summer fun, before the fall takes hold.  This past week, we spent some fun times at Electra, and had a blast with the boys and girls up there.  Again, some new faces competing with the old friends that we love to see.  We had a ton of fun, and we’ll be back there soon.  Saturday was a private party for the North Country High school reunion, and it was great to see the classmates come back and have some fun together before they all grow up too much!  Thanks to Jaime et al for taking great care of us, and making our first time in a Quonset hut a memorable one!

 

This weekend, as in today and tomorrow, (sorry for the delay, and the website being down, all problems are fixed!) will be spent at the fantastic Rick’s café in Naples, Maine!  We did a single night there last month, and we’re totally looking forward to our return this Friday and Saturday.  This bar sits right on the water, and has great food, 2 levels of dining overlooking the water, and a great staff that made us want to come back.  So, here we are with a full weekend at Rick’s, and hope that one and all can sneak over to play with us.  This room is a lot of fun, and we’re hoping to be able to set up the whole show, and blow some people’s minds with a few lights!  Check out the fun if you can, and if not, we’ll see you all soonest!

 

This week’s awards go to:

 

The Hello Kitty award goes to Jason, for breaking in my niece’s guitar on stage on Friday.  There’s nothing funnier than a grown man playing a guitar with Hello Kitty on it, and a matching pink strap – and picks, etc!

 

The francais award goes to our new version of sweet caroline.  If you haven’t given a song a bad French accent and poor translation, you haven’t lived!

 

The oasis in the night award goes to the Exxon in derby.  Nothing like beef jerky, red bull and Pringles to round out a fine evening!

 

And the narcolepsy award returns to jason.
