upcoming lkp dates

I think the word is amazing. We had a record crowd at the Anchorage on Friday night, with tons of familiar faces, and some new ones checking out the hottest place on the lake. With the increased bar, new coat of paint, and some new ownership, the possibilities seem to be endless for the growth of this place! The food was great, the staff was a blast, and everyone had a great time. Thanks to Glenn and Karlie for making this happen, and we’ll be back several times over the course of the season!

Saturday was our return to the Black Brimmer, our home away from home, and I will have to say, it was a great little birthday party. Thanks to all who guessed my age incorrectly, you make it easy to get older! The crowd at the Brimmer was enormous, and the biggest difference that I noticed is the no smoking rule is in effect at the Brimmer now! Another club goes non smoking, and it doesn’t seem to affect business. People seem to be getting used to the changes, and the cleaner air is definitely improving my ability to keep my voice. Kudos to the clubs that are doing it, it’s a habit we can all live with.

This weekend is one that I will call a hiccup, with an open date in the middle of it. We will be returning to the Brimmer this Thursday for the mid week madness party that we used to do acoustically. The number of people that were coming out and dancing makes it more sensible for us to do the full sound system, and skip the lights. So, we’ll be doing the weekend type songs, with the full sound that you are used to. Friday looks like a night off, probably a good reason to check out FUNL at the Brimmer, or just enjoy a night off. Then, Saturday returns us to the Yard in Manchester for a little fun with the boys and girls there. With the largest dance floor around, we hope you come out to have some fun with us this weekend. Here come the awards, so get ready for the weekend!

This week’s awards go to:

The great design award goes to Glenn and Karlie for the upgrades at the Ank. What a difference, and we love your staff, too!

The bartender of the week award goes to Diane for taking amazing care of us.

And the late night eats award goes to the Red Arrow Breakfast Sandwich!
